Self-Empowerment für PostDocs:
Pursuing my path in the academic system with personal motivation, self-confidence and Mental Health

During the postdoctoral phase, researchers aim to establish a professional identity and reputation within the academic field—with all its demands and systemic dynamics—and to chart a coherent career path, whether within academia or beyond. To achieve this, researchers must establish visibility in the field through innovative research, publications, presentations, and collaborations—a process that entails diverse workloads and raises questions regarding mental health and work-life balance.

In this empowerment workshop, you will gain inner clarity and strength for your own path in academia and beyond. You will learn how to structure your work environment so that—by tapping into your strongest sources of motivation, such as your passion for research and your values—you can work and communicate productively and effortlessly. You will be encouraged to navigate the academic environment with self-confidence and an understanding of the system, acting independently and collaboratively in a way that allows you to thrive in both your work and your personal life.

To foster positive, sustainable changes in the participants’ work contexts, we draw on insights from psychology and the neurosciences (embodiment, among others).
